About Area

Havelock is the "gateway" city of Eastern NC.. Havelock is the second largest town in Craven County. It is the home of MCAS Cherry Point one of the worlds elite all weather jet bases. Thousand of families in the eastern NC area have been staioned at Cherry Point, worked at FRC East or know someone that was been on board Cherry Point. Homes are plentiful in Havelock, New Bern and Morehead City. Some families have one member at Chery Point and another at Camp Lejuene in nearby Jacksonville. They often try to locate in the Cape Carteret area and split the drive. Havelock in located on Hwy 70 about 18 miles east of New Bern and 16 miles from Morehead city and nearby Atlantic Beach..
